October 1916/Corporal J G Phillips (26), Royal Warwickshire Regiment, son of Mr L Phillips, the Leopard Inn, Goode street, Hockley. A brother is serving in Egypt, and another, Frank, has been in the trenches, but has been discharged because he is only sixteen years of age. Mr L Phillips, the father, was thirty four years in the Volunteers and Territorials, and received King George's Coronation Medal at Towye Camp in 1911/Birmingham Daily Post
